Prepare 8 skewers (if using wooden ones, soak in cold water for 30min first).
Dice the turkey into cubes. Place in a shallow dish.
Blend the tomato purÃ©e, balsamic vinegar and soy sauce together. Optionally: after Consolidation you can add 1tbsp of maple syrup.
Pour the mixture over the meat, cover lightly, store away in the fridge and let it marinate for 30min.
While waiting for the turkey to be ready prepare the shallots. Place all of them in a saucepan, add water to cover the contents. Boil and then simmer for 5min.
Drain the water and let the shallots cool. Peel once cool.
Pre-heat the oven to 350F.
Prepare the skewers, alternate adding the turkey and shallots.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until browned. Turn once or twice to make sure all sides get roasted. You can use any leftover marinade to glaze while cooking too.
